The shop opens for orders soon
Hello!
Spring has started to creep out of the ground here in the east of England. The garden birds sing earlier, the fresh green of Lord&Ladies and Alkanet are shooting up, and the aconites and daffodils in my tubs outside the back door are emerging into flower. I went to a seed swap on Sunday and felt bolstered by the incredible generosity of our local community, a radical space where good-feeling and non-monetary sharing changes the way we all interact with each other. I’m itching to get seeds in pots but will wait for another few weeks and warmer weather.
My thoughts turn towards fresh colours and the remembrance of dresses worn without layers, my face turned to the brief sunshine. To a shop opening, and linens! I’ve brought back Pine this time around, and managed to procure some more Satsuma Gingham too which proved very popular the last few months. Still available is Flax, a gorgeous heavy undyed linen. Two new colours join us! a bright blue and natural Blue Gingham linen, and a richly-dyed Turmeric Ikat cotton from India with large woven spots. It’ll make for some very fun statement pieces. There is also still lots of Storm and Terracotta double gauze cotton for tops as well, and Blush twill for Jackets, Coats and Dungarees.
The shop will open again on Tuesday 27th February at 6pm GMT for these orders, and will stay open until I have around 40 orders for the month ahead. You’re welcome to buy multiple items and everything on the shop page will be available, in sizes XS-S up to 3-4XL. I’m available for custom pieces; you can mix and match my styles to make your preferred garment, or customise lengths, pockets, necklines etc. I can also source a whole range of other colours for a slightly higher price (anything from £10-30 depending on the fabric and garment) so do get in touch with me if you have an idea.
The shop is on my website and you can browse styles and sizing etc now.
Thanks so much, as always. Know that you make a huge difference to my life when you take the plunge and buy something; I am perennially grateful that this tiny creative spot in the world sustains me and pays my bills.
